ABSRACT:
As the technologies are becoming advance to increase the efficiency and suitable user interface,in this NANOTECHNOLOGY is playing very important role right now. In this paper what is nanotechnology and what is the need of nanotechnology are discussed.NANOTECHNOLOGY is very vast field it has covered almost every field like mechanical, electronics, chemical etc. Also products are becoming smaller with increase in efficiency like computers are becoming of mobile size and mobiles are becoming of watch size all this is possible by working at the nanolevel
Also NANOTECHNOLOGY important components like carbon nanotube and how to construct them what is there function in this field also how electron will function in these components this is related to the field of spintronics.The application of NANOTECHNOLOGY in different fields like nems, nanocomposites,nanocrystal and nanofilters are discussed.
WHY NANOTECHNOLOGY?
Every living thing is made of cells that are chock-full of nano-machines-proteins, DNA, RNA, etc. Over the past century, scientists have learned about the workings of these biological nano-machines to an incredible level of detail, and the benefits of this knowledge are beginning to be felt in medicine. In coming decades, we will learn to modify and adapt this machinery to extend the quality and length of life. Bio-technology was the first nanotechnology, and it has a long way yet to go.
Twenty years ago, without even this crude chemotherapy any cancer patient would already be dead. But twenty years from now nano-technology will have given us specially engineered drugs which are nanoscale cancer-seeking missiles, a molecular technology that specifically targets just the mutant cancer cells in the human body, and leaves everything else blissfully alone. To do this, these drug molecules will have to be big enough-thousands of atoms-so that we can code the information into them of where they should go and what they should kill.
Discoveries and developments in science and technology are at the core of human endeavor. The World is on the brink of a technological revolution beyond any human experience. It has the potential to bring wealth, health and education to every person on the planet. And it will be able to do this without consuming natural resources or spewing pollution into the environment. Nanotechnology is about building things atom by atom. The intellectual drive toward nanoworld has been the initial underlying reason for the current focus on nanotechnology. Nanoscale science and engineering will allow us to reach beyond our natural size limitation and work directly at the building blocks of matter where all properties of matter are defined and can be changed. Discovery of novel material structures with fundamentally new properties, new tools demonstrating nanoscale phenomena, new molecular assembling and techniques yielding control of structures at the nanoscale, are leading to a unified set of general principles for a variety of disciplines and areas of application.
