ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE

ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE

ABSTRACT:

The need for new lightweight, low-power, wide viewing angled, handheld portable communication devices have pushed the display industry to revisit the current flat-panel digital display technology used for mobile applications. Struggling to meet the needs of demanding applications such as e-books, smart networked household appliances, identity management cards, and display-centric handheld mobile imaging devices, the flat panel industry is now looking at new displays known as Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED).

This paper summaries Structure of OLED -OLED is a hybrid thin film comprising organic film, inorganic film and oxide film. Family Devices -TOLED, can greatly improve contrast making it much easier to view displays in bright sunlight. SOLED, may provide the high resolution needed for wireless worldwide web application. FOLED, offers revolutionary features for display. Encapsulated OLED, referred to as a SCALE. Advantage and disadvantage of OLED. Applications of OLED.
