INTRODUCTION

Rapid industrialization, urbanization and fast economic growth have resulted in large-scale environmental degradation due to release of the quantities of waste containing hazardous wastes. Effective control and management of hazardous wastes has become an issue of paramount importance. Since energy is one of
the key ingredients of improving life styles of peoples, its consumption will dramatically accelerate and increase due to industrial, economic and social development. The optimal use of energy resources and their efficient deployment will require that our environment is preserved.

This Short Term Course provides a common platform to discuss advanced research activities carried out in engineering and related areas in the above regard.

In viewof above,Department of Chemical Engineering,MANIT Bhopal, is organizing a five days Short Term Course on "Recent Trends in Industrial Pollution and Energy Management". The faculty for the Short Term Course will be experienced personnels from R & D Institution, PSU’s and Other corporate sector & Experts fromI.I.Ts,N.I.Ts.

Students/Research scholars Rs. 2,000/-

Registration forms are also available on institute website www.manit.ac.in. The fee may be sent in the form of DD payable at Bhopal in favour of “Coordinator RTIPEM2011”. The registration fee will include registration kit, high tea, working breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Last date of receiving completed registration form is 25th April, 2011. Limited seats are available. Hence, participants are advised to register at the earliest to avoid any inconvenience. Application through email is also acceptable. Selected participants will be informed by email.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation for the participants on payment basis shall be arranged in Institute's Faculty Guest house on
advance request.
