About Centre Of Excellence
Centre of Excellence in Design is a central facility of MNIT Jaipur which has recently been established with an approximately budget of Rs. 7 Crores. The centre possess 120 seats each of the best-in-industry designing tools, especially on Autodesk® Design Suite and Altair Hyper Works® platform with high end work stations in all engineering disciplines. As a recent trend, out of competition/MOUs, individual versions of these commercial CAD tools are also freely available for students and educators. Students can have these tools in their laptops and solve / verify their design problem during the tutorial/assignment hours; thus making the teaching-learning process more productive, effective and industry relevant.
Scope of STTP
The STTP is planned to provide training in the basics as well as applications orientated techniques of engineering optimization in a comprehensive manner. Optimization is a powerful tool for engineer in virtually every discipline. It provides engineers with a rigorous, systematic method for finding the most innovative, cost-effective solutions to some of today's most challenging engineering designproblems. This course provides in-depth coverage of system simulation, topology optimization, topography optimization, size optimization. Recently developedmethods, such as evolutionary, particle swarm, ant-colony algorithms and fuzzy optimization techniques will be covered. Selected case studies and examples will besolved using Matlab and Hyperworks.

1) Introduction to the basics of Engineering Optimization & Problem Formulation.

3) Advanced Methods of optimization including Genetic Algorithms, Neural Networks, Ant      
    Colony Optimization.
4) Basics of FEM based Optimization.
5) Optimal Dynamic Balancing of Multibody Systems
6) Structural optimization
7) Introduction to HYPERWORKS & MATLAB Tool Box.
8) Problem solving using MATLAB optimization Toolbox.
9) Practical case studies on Topology and Size Optimization using ALTAIR HYPERWORKS
