5TH ICTACEM Conference at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur

Mechanics is an area common to many disciplines of science and engineering and has made tremendous strides in recent years. ICTACEM Conference is aimed at bringing together academicians and researchers working in various disciplines of mechanics to exchange views as well as to share knowledge between people from different parts of the globe

The Conference will be held during December 27-29, 2010 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. It will be composed of plenary and technical sessions. A number of world renowned academicians and researchers will deliver keynote and invited addresses.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Authors are invited to SUBMIT ONLINE extended abstracts (maximum three pages) of their papers indicating clearly the summary of the aims, methods of analysis, results and conclusions. The official language for the conference is English. The final acceptance of a paper will be based on the review of the extended abstract and will be available as list of Accepted Papers on the website. Instructions for preparation of extended abstract and the full length paper are available as separate links on the website (MS Word Version / Adobe PDF Version).


NOTE

    * Extended Abstracts should not exceed THREE pages as per the format available in website.
    * Full length paper is limited to 10-12 pages as per the format available in website.



PROCEEDINGS

The CD-ROM proceedings along with the printed copies of accepted extended abstracts will be published and made available to all participants at the conference. Selected papers from those presented in the conference will be communicated to referred journals for possible publication.

The International Conference on Communications, Computers and Devices (ICCCD) 2010 invites original, unpublished papers based on theoretical, simulation and experimental research, development, design, testing and measurement work for presentation in the conference, which is to be held on December 10-12, 2010 at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. All submitted regular papers will go through a process of peer review and the authors will be notified on acceptance. Apart from the regular papers, the conference will accept a limited number of review papers. All regular papers should contain the complete manuscript in standard IEEE two-column format, up to six (6) pages (inclusive of figures, tables and bibliography). Authors should highlight the novel features and clearly explain the significance of the work.

PAPERS :
Full papers not exceeding 6 pages as per IEEE transaction style are solicited. All the papers will be subjected to a review process through an international review panel before final acceptance. Comments of the reviewers will be directed to the authors prior to the Camera Ready Paper Submission deadline so that they can be accommodated in the camera ready papers.

Papers submitted to ICCCD are to be strictly followed as per ICCCD Template in MSWORD. Final submission after passing through IEEE PDF Express limited to 6 pages are to be submitted within stipulated dead lines. Atleast one author is expected to register and present the paper. Registrations at the conference are not transferrable. Every attendee to the Conference must register.

Overview

Financial liberalisation has provided opportunities and challenges to market
participants in terms of high return and risk. In a competitive environment, it is very
much essential to know the regulatory as well as the theoretical and empirical
foundations of various aspects of financial markets. The present global financial
turmoil is characterized by weak economic environment, low liquidity and volatile
financial markets. In this context, it is imperative for all the market participants to

Limited on-campus accommodation is available in Guest Houses on twin sharing basis on personal payment basis. The applicants are advised to inform about their requirements clearly and as early as possible.

There are several restaurants in the campus apart from the mess service in the Guest House.
General Information:

IIT Kharagpur is located about 5 Km from Kharagpur railway station and about 120 Km from Kolkata (Calcutta). Kharagpur has rail links with most major cities in India. It is conveniently connected to Howrah station (Kolkata) by a number of local and express trains. Those traveling by air may take a taxi from Kolkata airport to IIT campus (3.5 hrs drive at a cost of about Rs. 2500/-). Round the clock taxi service is available from Kharagpur railway station to the campus (day and evening time fare: Rs. 100/-).

IITB Research Fellowship Scheme

IITB Research Fellowship Scheme

Overveiw IRCC of IIT Bombay has been implementing the following two schemes

1. IITB Research Fellowship Scheme
2. IITB Summer Internship Scheme

Scheme 1 (The IITB Research Fellowship Scheme) is avilable this year. However, Scheme 2 (The IITB Summer Internship Scheme supported by IRCC) has been discontinued.
In addtion, the Accademic Office of IITB has a provision for Summer Internship and External Projects. These schemes are available this year also. Please visit this link for details  


IIT Bombay Research Fellowship Scheme
v  The awardees will be selected based on their academic record and an interview, followed by a written test (if necessary).
v  They will be expected to work on research projects for a minimum period of one year in different Departments/ Schools/ Centres/ Inter-disciplinary Programs based on their academic background and research interests.
v  The Research Fellowship Scheme is open to B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / MBA / M.A. / M.Com. / M.Sc. / MBBS or equivalent degree, with or without experience. Students with research inclinations in Humanities, Bio-sectors, Management and with background other than the above can also apply.
v  The awardees with B. Tech./B.E. or M.Sc. qualification will be awarded a stipend of Rs. 8,000 - 10,000/- p.m.. Degree holders with experience may be considered for a higher amount.
v  Other benefits include funding for participation in national & international conferences, Library facilities, hostel accommodation and working with proven international collaborators (where applicable).
v  Hostel accommodation may be provided subject to availability.

Selection Procedure
  • The selection procedure consists of preliminary screening of online applications, followed by personal interviews to be held in a decentralized manner at the department level.
  • Selection criteria will include consistently brilliant academic performance (relative rank in the class/University), work carried out by the student besides his regular academic work, participation/recognition in competitions such as Techfest, Olympiads, National Talent Search Exams, and performance in the interview.
  • Train fare (IInd/Sleeper Class) will be given to outstation candidates , shortlisted for interview

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow for the DST (Govt. of India) sponsored project ‘Design, Development and Ergonomic analysis of Blue Pottery Manufacturing System’. Essential Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Industrial / Production / Manufacturing Engg. with a minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA. Eligible candidates may come for walk in interview with detailed CV and attested copies of all documents and report to Dr. Awadhesh Bhardwaj, Principal Investigator, at Design Centre, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, on 09th April 2010 at 3PM.
