17th ISME Conference

About the Conference
The 17th ISME Conference on Advances in Mechanical Engineering is the seventeenth in a series of conferences organised by Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME). The conference will be held during October 3-4, 2015 in Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi. In the new millennium, research in mechanical engineering has progressed towards emerging areas such as processing of advanced materials, micro/nano manufacturing, microfluidics, energy harvesting and utilization, biomechanics, medical robotics and precision mechatronics. The purpose of this conference will be to bring together the mechanical engineering community to explore, disseminate and strengthen initiatives in such new directions under the broad areas of manufacturing, thermofluids and mechanical design.
About IIT Delhi
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, where ICAME 2015 will be organized, is one of the fifteen Institutes of Technology created as centers of excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, laid the foundation stone of the Institute on January 27, 1959. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance and renamed "Indian Institute of Technology Delhi" in 1963. The Institute has made a notable mark in higher technical education and research. It has been ranked very high among national and international institutions of higher learning. The Institute is celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year during 2010-2011.
IIT Delhi is situated at Hauz Khas in South Delhi, which is a landmark place in the colourful and chequered history of Delhi. The Institute campus with an area of 320 acres is flanked by the famous Qutub Minar and the Hauz Khas monuments. With many topographical features, imaginatively laid out with picturesque landscape, numerous buildings of various nature and stature, and clean and wide roads, the campus presents a spectacle of harmony in architecture and natural beauty. Well connected to the major city centres by open and wide roads, the Institute campus is about 19 km away from the Delhi Main Railway Station, 14 km from the New Delhi Railway Station, 21 km from the Inter-State Bus Terminal and 15 km from Delhi Airport.

Targeted Proteomics: Workshop & International Symposium

Targeted Proteomics: Workshop & International Symposium

About the Event: The advent of sophisticated proteomics technologies have enabled us to obtain enormous scientific information in biosciences research lately, however verification of such abundant data continues to remain a bottleneck for researchers. For such validation based studies it is an imperative to know when and how to move from the discovery to a more targeted phase, so as to improve confidence in initial results and progress to findings with clinical relevance. The targeted proteomics workshop and symposium, in this light, will focus on such hypothesis driven proteomics. Special emphasis will be given to the proteomics data analysis and interpretation. This focused event on “Targeted Proteomics” will undoubtedly be a great opportunity for students, young researchers and industry experts to familiarize them with the recent advancement and significant achievements in targeted proteomics research. It would also provide a platform for extended interactions with the world leading proteomics scientists.
