Real Time Operating System (RTOS)

Real Time Operating System (RTOS)

ABSTRACT

This seminar provides an overview of QNX RTOS (Real Time Operating System). The introductory section discusses the key benefits of QNX Architecture and describes how the QNX architecture can be utilized in the embedded products, real-time products. QNX is the first message-passing RTOS and has first commercial microkernel architecture.

The inherent reliability, scalable architecture, and small memory footprint of the QNX Neutrino RTOS make it the most trusted foundation for future-ready applications. QNX is HARD real-time, first integrated, self-hosted, graphical platform for embedded developers. Its design goal is to deliver the open systems POSIX API in a robust, scalable form suitable for a wide range of systems -- from tiny, resource-constrained systems to high-end distributed computing environments. Extended dynamically plugging in service providing processes
File system, networking, POSIX message queues, and device drivers. It’s a true microkernel providing full memory protection.
