Evaluation of nuclear data for Ion Beam Analysis and nucleosynthesis
Abstract:
The needs of materials scientists for nuclear data for IBA are observed. The evaluation procedure is described. The application of relevant nuclear physics models to the case of the interaction of low energy charged particles with nuclei is considered. The results of the evaluation are presented.Prof. Gurbich is currently visiting the Ion Beam Centre on a Royal Society funded 6 week visit, to develop his SigmaCalc code for calculating elastic scattering cross-sections which are essential for ion beam analysis.
