Microvascular Imaging using Optical Coherence Tomography and High Frequency Ultrasound
Abstract:
Microvascular imaging is a fundamental technique in biomedical research. Recent advances in optics and ultrasonics have resulted in improvements for visualizing the cardiac dynamics and fine vascular networks in animals or human. We will review the common principles for blood flow imaging in optics and ultrasonics, and discuss the recent implementations of vascular sensitive optical coherence tomography (OCT) and high frequency ultrasound (HFUS) systems/algorithms.
