60GHz Silicon Circuits for Gigabit Wireless Networks

60GHz Silicon Circuits for Gigabit Wireless Networks

Abstract

The 60GHz band has recently attracted much attention due to transistor scaling allowing low cost CMOS and SiGe BiCMOS circuits to perform sufficiently well in this unlicensed band. An overview of recently fabricated circuits in 0.18μm SiGe including low-noise amplifiers, mixers and receivers will be presented as will preliminary measured results.
