Unsteady flows & convection, particle transport and realistic solar water heating

Abstract

In the first part of this presentation, my research activities are briefly summarized. These include research interests, research techniques, computing and experimental facilities, competitive research grants and publications.In the second part, my research work on the following four specific topics is then briefly described and highlighted:

(1) Unsteady fountain flows, both in the weak and transitional regimes;
(2) Unsteady natural convection under a wide range of configurations and operating conditions; (3) Solar water heating under realistic application conditions;
(4) Particle transport in sheared flows.
