Robomania – Robotics (Participation – Team of at most 5)

Participants will have to make machines/robots to complete the tasks assigned in each event within the constraints specified in each event. There are three events in the robotics category, each of which will have its own rules and regulations.

· ROBOCOMBAT: In this a robot designed by a particular team will have 2 ousted the opponent robots of other team under the prescribed constrainings situations . The competition will be held in many sessions wherein each session will have two teams (i.e. two bots) competing one-on-one. ·ROBOMARATHON: The bot will start from a starting point and will have to move ahead to the finishing point labelled as the “fortress” within the time limits and passing all the obstacles specified. The competition will be held in many sessions wherein each session will have two teams (i.e. two bots) competing one-on-one. Both the bots will start simultaneously from two equidistant points from the finish spot. The team (bot) to reach the finish point (fortress) first, within the given time constraints will be adjudged winner of that session. If the bot is not able to fulfil all the requirements of a particular round/session, the team will be eliminated. Subsequent sessions of two teams in each session, of same or varying difficulty, will be held to get a final winner.

· ROBOBEAM: The bot will start from a starting point and will have to open a basket full of table tennis balls placed in a basket to one side of the arena. Once all the balls are out of the basket and on the arena floor, the bots have to collect all the balls and transfer the balls to the other side of the arena which will be clearly demarcated. However, there will be a net of a predefined height between the two sides of the arena and teams have to transfer the balls without the balls and the bot touching the net. The team which transfers the maximum number of balls in the specified time limit within the specified constraints will be adjudged winner of the session/round. If the bot is not able to fulfil all the requirements of a particular round/session, the corresponding team will be eliminated. Subsequent rounds/sessions of two teams each, of same or varying difficulty, will be held to get a final winner.

Tertiary Eye - Electrical Quiz (Participation – Individual )

Participants have to form teams of two and appear a written test on technical areas/topics as per the group they choose. The written test will be of about 20 mins., consisting of some questions with a one word answer and some multiple choice questions with 4 options each. The quiz will be held in three groups, with three different sets of questions for the written and on-stage sessions for each group:
· Group A: Quiz on areas related to Electronics and Electrical Engineering
· Group B: Quiz on areas related to Computer Science and IT
· Group C: Quiz on areas related to Mechanical & Civil Engineering

Top 5 teams from each group (A, B and C) qualify for the final on-stage quiz round and contest with each other, on stage, in the following rounds:

1. Team-wise round
2. Audio-Visual Round
3. Buzzer Round
4. Fast Forward round
The exact rounds, rules, regulations, scoring scheme etc. will be notified by the quiz master on the spot to qualifying teams.
