Geothermal Power Energy
Abstract
Deep down in the core, there is magma with enormous potential energy. Geothermal power generation is to extract and use the part of this energy in the form of steam. Geothermal power generation uses this steam from highly pressurized natural steam fields. Bores bring the steam to the surface, which in turns drive the turbines that generate electricity. This energy is also used for heat pumps, for melting ice on the road. This energy also reduces pollution, which is its advantage over thermal power plants. the energy is also preferable on considering cost. Also all types of geothermal energy are renewable as long as the rate of heat extraction from the earth does not exceed the rate at which the thermal reservoir it depends upon is recharged by the earth’s heat.
