Abstract    

            The storage area network and High performance storage system (HPSS) established to directly connect storage peripherals. It allows the direct communication between the storage devices and the client machines on the network. Key attributes of SAN file systems are found in HPSS today, and more complete SAN file system capabilities are being added. The HPSS storage system form the original implementation Using HIPPI and IPI-3 technology Typically SAN uses the fibre channel technology. It also provides the various advance facilities over the LAN and WAN.storage network was developed to provide a high-speed network for data transfer.
                    The HPSS has to implementation the hierarchical and arehival storage services. The high performance user interface of HPSS are the client API library.
