International Conference on Communications and Signal Processing 10-12, February 2011

International Conference on Communications and Signal Processing 10-12, February 2011
National Institute of Technology Calicut
Objectives
A major objective of the conference will be to pursue the progression from the theoretical aspects of innovative communication and signal processing techniques through to the implementation, evaluation and performance enhancement of practical communication systems. It is also planned to be a forum for presenting research outcomes of topics ranging from those of the physical layer to the application layer through all aspects of protocols and processes required to utilize the full potential offered by the current and the emerging networking infrastructure. Apart from these, we expect papers dealing with data, audio, image and video processing for multimedia, bio-medical and security applications.
Original unpublished research papers are invited in the following areas, but not limited to:
Communications Theory & Techniques: Channel measurements and modeling, Coding and modulation techniques, MIMO - theory and trials, Spread Spectrum and CDMA systems, OFDM technology, Space-time coding, Diversity techniques, Ultra Wide-Band Communications, Antennas and propagation, secure communications.
Communication Systems & Networks: Mobile ad hoc networking, Personal area networking, Broadband Wireless Access, Cross Layer Design, Mesh Networks, Cooperative Networks, Sensor Networks, Home networking, Traffic modeling, Protocols, Embedded Internet devices, New and enhanced services, Resource and information management, Adaptive QoS provisioning, End-to-end QoS, Emerging technologies, Optical Communications and Networks.
Signal Processing Theory & Applications: Signal Processing Algorithms & Architectures, Smart antennas and tracking algorithms, Signal separation, Signal identification, Adaptive and Array Signal Processing, Audio, Speech, Image & Video Signal Processing, , Underwater Communications and Signal Processing, VLSI for Communication & Signal Processing, Non-linear and Biomedical Signal Processing, Spoken Language Processing, Unconventional Applications of Signal Processing , VLSI Signal processing.
ICCSP2011 announcement appears on the IEEE Conference Site and the IEEE Call for Papers. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Xplore digital library. Submission guidelines can be found on the conference web site (http://iccsp2011.nitc.ac.in)
Paper Submission
ICCSP 2011 accepts only novel, previously unpublished papers in the area of Communications, Networking, and Signal Processing. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit an IEEE conference style paper up to 5 pages for the Full Paper category and 3 pages for the Short (Poster) Paper category ((including all text, figures, and references). Papers should use “Times New Roman” font with a size of 10 points for the text and should have all 4 margins on a page of width 0.5 inches or larger. The line spacing has to be 0.95 or at most 1. Use the sample manuscript (PDF version) (Microsoft Word version) as a visual aid for formatting. You can also download the templates at http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/pubservices/confpub/AuthorTools/conferenceTemplates.html. We advise you to use the LATEX template for the IEEE conferences (using the style file IEEEtran.cls) which is designed to produce PDF documents which automatically confirm to the IEEE specifications. In this case, you may define the document class as \documentclass[conference]{IEEEtran}. Note that as shown in the sample, the first page of the manuscript must include the title, authors with affiliations and detailed address including e-mail, abstract and at least three keywords.
Papers are to be submitted through EasyChair Conference Management System through the direct link for ICCSP 2011 https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=iccsp2011. All paper submissions will be carefully reviewed by at least three experts and reviews will be returned to the author(s) with comments to ensure the high quality of the accepted papers.
To be published in the ICCSP 2011 Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore, at least one of the authors of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference. But this needs to be done only after you receive the confirmation that your paper has been accepted for presentation and publication in ICCSP 2011. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, camera-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one registration is valid for up to 2 papers. Accepted papers will be published in the ICCSP 2011 Conference Proceedings. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE ICCSP 2011 Conference Proceedings and in IEEE Xplore.
Detailed guidelines on submitting papers through EasyChair
1. When your paper is formatted according to the instructions given above and you that are ready to submit it for review, you can upload it using EasyChair. All papers, whether prepared using MS-WORD or LATEX, must be converted to PDF format (which is the only acceptable format for ICCSP 2011) before uploading. Please note that the paper name has to be short but a meaningful name depicting the title of the paper.
2. Log on to EasyChair using the link https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=iccsp2011. Enter your EasyChair user id and password. If this is your first time using EasyChair, you will need to set up an account. You can do so by clicking the “sign up for an account” link and submitting the necessary details.
3. Once you log into EasyChair, click on the “New Submission” tab.
4. Choose the appropriate track (Communication and Networking or Signal Processing) according to the area that best fit your paper as per the Call For Papers of ICCSP 2011. Then click “continue”. Please note that your paper may not be reviewed properly if appropriate track is not selected.
5. Fill in the submission form starting from the authors list. Enter the details of all the authors. Ensure that one of the authors is selected as the “corresponding author” by selecting the appropriate box given below the address. Then enter the paper “Title”, “Abstract” and at least 3 “keywords”
6. Now locate the paper in your computer by using the “Upload paper” section of the page.
7. Once again read all the information that you have entered and if everything is correct, you can click the “Submit paper” button. Click only once and wait. It will take some time to get your paper uploaded. Once the paper is successfully uploaded, your browser will display a confirmation page stating that your submission has been saved. It also displays all the important information that you have entered in the previous page. Also you will receive an electronic confirmation by e-mail. Do not reply to this e-mail as it is system generated.
8. Notice that you can always submit Newer Versions of your manuscript till the paper submission deadline. To do so, log into your account as stated above, and click the tab given next to the “new submission” tab (it may display “Paper1”). You will get a page showing details of the paper that you have submitted. Use the links given at the right side of the page to modify the contents staring from “update information” to “Submit a new version”. Once you upload the new version of the paper, the previous one will be automatically deleted and you will get a confirmation page and e-mail as in the case of your first submission.
9. Direct your queries if any regarding the paper submission or any other matter to iccsp2011@nitc.ac.in
