PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF METHANOL BLENDED FUELS IN S.I. ENGINES
ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper presentation is to evaluate the performance of four-cylinder four-stroke water-cooled spark ignition engine with hydraulic dynamometer loading. The fuels selected are blends of methanol, ethanol and gasoline. This paper presentation also focuses on blends of mixture of methanol, ethanol with gasoline. And calculation of percentage of CO and HC in the emissions. Also includes the modifications required in the existing spark ignition engine to suit above said fuels and focusing the full life of service of existing engine with blended fuels.
