ABSTRACT:

This paper explores the basic concept of MEMS, its applications in different areas such as biomedical instrumentation typically about pressure sensor which is used in blood pressure measurement. It is widely used in biomedical field as it measures absolute pressure. Lot of research activities are going on in the field of MEMS and in near future it is going to revolutionize the medical field.

MEMS technology makes life easier, and with technology maturing with the help of various sensors, it is convenient to use MEMS than having a crude technology in medical field.

The paper discusses the characteristics, performance, measurement and analysis of the piezoresistive blood pressure sensor.
