ABSTRACT:

This paper is a brief overview of “Alternative Refrigerants to replace CFCS” and deals with concept, and necessity of replacing the CFCs for the protection of world from Global warming and ozone layer depletion. Right from introduction to refrigeration, the greenhouse effect, Global warming are explained. The paper also contents ODP & GWP of different refrigerants. The alternative refrigerants for the CFCs are discussed. Finally, India’s role has also been discussed.
