ABSTRACT:

Although there is no clear definition of AI, it can be described as the attempt to build machines that think & act like humans, that are able to learn & to use their knowledge to solve problems on their own. AI is a field of computer science, psychology, physiology, linguistics and mathematics. In fact, as the students of mechanical engineering, we are considering only mechanical relations of the subject in this paper. We have deeply considered applications of AI in CAD / CAM / CIM.

AI is actually very vast subject. And it is not possible to study a particular part of it leaving or excepting other points of AI. So we have studied most of the things about AI, but from our interest's point of view, we wish to present the paper on AI application in CAD / CAM / CIM & thoughts on AI.

AI has made & it will make life very much comfortable but it seems difficult for AI to replace brain of human in respect of vision, thinking (reasoning), perception, planning, understanding & many more.
