ABSTRACT:

Automotive safety has been the concern of the leading automobile manufactures for a long time. With the help of modern technology scientist and engineers have developed many safety devices which help to save the human life in case of an accident or an emergency.

Brake assist system (BAS) is one such type of safety system. It is an active safety system. Sometimes during an emergency braking situation the driver may press the brake pedal quickly but not hard enough i.e. there may be hesitancy in braking / inadequate braking which may prove fatal.

BAS has been developed to improve these situations.
