About Computer Society of India (CSI)

Computer Society of India is the largest association of Computer Professionals in India and committed to the advancement of the theory and practice of Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Technology, System Science and Engineering, Information Processing and related arts and sciences. The objectives of CSI include:

* To promote interchange of information in informatics related disciplines among specialties and between the specialists and the public.
* To assist the professionals to maintain the integrity and competence of the profession.
* To foster a sense of partnership amongst the professionals engaged in these fields.

About KL University – The Host Institute

KL University, formerly known as Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (KLCE) was established in the year 1980 with four branches of Engineering under the aegis of Koneru Lakshmaiah Educational Foundation (KLEF).The University islocated on a 44 acre site abutting Buckingham Canal, about 8km. from Vijayawada in Guntur District. Situated in rural setting of lush green and fertile fields of Krishna delta, the University is a virtual heaven of rural quiet and idyllic beauty. The serene green fields the flowing Krishna water in the Buckingham Canal, the pristine silence of trees make it an ideal place for scholastic pursuits. The campus has been aptly named Green Fields. The university has administrative office in the heart of Vijayawada City. KLCE accredited by NAAC under new methodology with institutional CGPA 3.76 / 4.00 and with A Grade. AICTE has approved all the existing UG and PG programs. Good infrastructure facilities are provided for teaching-learning process. The whole campus entirely is wi-fi enabled network. The Institution has achieved 100% placement from past five academic years. The R & D activity in the campus is encouraged by strong budgetary support. KL University is having MOU with leading Industries &Technical Institutions and Universities at State, National and International Level.

Symposium Objective

In the ever changing scenario in Computer Science it is vital to share and exchange ideas. The last decade has witnessed tremendous revolution in Computer and information technologies. The re-emergence of Computer Science and information technology as a major source of employment in the industry, reminds us to enhance the student community’s employability skills .The national student symposium being organized by the 'CSI – KLEF University Student Branch' aims at realizing these twin objectives through interactions among the students from all over India and share their thoughts and be ready to be a part of the revolution.

Important Dates

* Submission of full paper/ poster/ project synopsis/ sparkling ideas (DD’s should reach the organizing committee along with the entries): Mar 04th, 2011 (Extended)
* Intimation of Confirmation: March 08th, 2011
* Last Date of Registration (Both for Symposium and Accommodation): March 12th, 2011
* Convention Symposium: 18th & 19th March, 2011

Registration Details

All Engineering, MCA and MBA students can participate

* Non CSI member: Rs 500/-
* CSI member: Rs 200/-

The amount should be paid in the form of DD in favour of "CSI - KLEF University Student Branch" payable at Vijayawada

Each Paper/ Poster can have maximum of 2 authors. Along with full paper, Demand Draft, Declaration form, CSI- Membership Proof (CSI Members only) & Study/ Bonafide Certificate.

Note: Each author has to register separately. Accommodation is available on request (along with registration).
