About CSI

Formed in 1965,the CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years.Today, the CSI has 66 chapters all over India 381 student branches, and more than 50000 members including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.

The CSI Coimbatore chapter is one of the most vibrant chapters of CSI in India.It has set a record by winning the best chapter in India continuously for the last seven years.Recently the chapter celebrated its silver jubilee in service to the citizens of Coimbatore.

In addition to organizing regular monthly lectures,conferences and seminars by distinguished professionals,some of the path breaking events organized by the chapter include CSI IT Quiz for school students by India's leading Quizmaster,Giri "Pickbrain" Balasubramaniam and Engineering counseling guidance programme for all engineering aspirants.The chapter has also launched a rural computing initiative by providing IT infrastructure to several village schools.For further details click here.

Guidelines

Paper Presentation

* Paper Should be of IEEE format not exceeding 5 pages.
* Submission of FULL paper through email on or before 1st March 2011. Email : src2011@karunya.edu
* Papers are invited in areas such as High performance Computing, Pervasive Computing, Green Computing, Grid Computing, Data Mining,etc
* Individual Event (NOT a team event).
* Open to students, faculties, researchers & industrialists.
* Notification of acceptance will be intimated by 5th March 2011.
* Only LCD projectors will be provided.Participants are kindly asked to bring their laptops.
* On-spot registration is not allowed.

Xtreme Programming

* Oppurtunity to register on the spot here in Karunya University.
* Individual Event (NOT a team event)
* Programming Languages : C,C++
* Open to students only.
* More instructions will be provided on the day of the event.

Project Expo

* Maximum of 4 participants per team.
* Open to students only.
* Last date for sending the registration form along with complete project details is 5th March 2011.
* Notification of acceptance will be intimated on or before 10th March 2011.
* Proper banner in flex material (no chart paper).

Industrial Product Demo

* Open to industrialists only.
* Product related to theme of the conference are encouraged.
* The participants are asked to submit the complete specification of their product using a powerpoint presentation to our email : src2011@gmail.com on or before 5th March 2011.
* Registration Fees to showcase the product : Rs. 1250. And once your product is selected to the top list the participants are asked to pay an additional amount of Rs. 5000 to present their product.
* The participants are to asked to arrange stalls of their own to showcase their product.
* Last date for sending the registration form is 5th March 2011.
* Notification of acceptance will be intimated on or before 10th March 2011.

Registration Fees Details

Accomodation

Participants should make their own travel arrangements. Registered participants will be provided accommodation on request in Hotels, University hostels or University Guest house. The delegates have to meet the expenses towards boarding and lodging. The typical Tariff rates in the Hostel/University Guest House is as follows-
