About ICDLEIMC/Objectives

Introduction

Digital Library and Electronic Information Management and Control is the outcome of the development of information and communication technology or access facilities in libraries, an enhanced skill base and improved telecommunication and information technology facilities within and across geographical boundaries. The Information Communication Technology revolution at the end of 20th Century has revamped the ways in which information can be created, harvested, assembled, combined, manipulated and enhanced. Therefore, a nation’s capacity to develop systems that support the up gradation in the lifestyle of the civilized and cultured society.

Objective:

The objective of the conference is to juxtapose the library professionals with IT professionals for the management and control of the electronic information with regards to Digital Library. This interaction is expected to create understanding of the needs to manage the Libraries now-a-days with the advent of new technology.

Guidelines for Paper Submission

Paper must be typed and written in English for acceptance. Submission has to be in MS word format, Times New Roman 12 points font. Bibliographic references in AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (APA ) style should be given at the end of the article under the heading Reference. Abstract of not more than 300 words to be submitted by May 1, 2011. Acceptance will be confirmed by June 1, 2011. Full papers to be submitted by July 1, 2011.
Participants are invited to contribute papers for presentation on the above themes and other related aspects. The papers should be based on research surveys; case studies or action plans rather than theoretical explanations. Papers should be submitted electronically at library@kiit.ac.in, ranjitkumardaskims@gmail.com

Details such as name of the author, designation, title of the article, abstract, name of the affiliating institution, mailing address, telephone number, fax number and E-mail address are to be included. The contributors will get intimation regarding the acceptance of the paper by the Editorial Committee for Conference Presentation or for Poster Session Presentation. Best poster award(s) will also be conferred the author of the best poster presentation at the conference.

A declaration is to be sent by the author that the paper submitted for presentation should not have already been published/ presented elsewhere. The Editorial Committee will have the right to edit the papers. Selected papers will be published in the proceedings.

Each paper should contain a list of five key words. The papers should also mention the topic under which category they should be treated from the list of the topics of the theme as mentioned above. All papers must be original and after acceptance, KIIT will hold the copy right. All accepted papers will be presented in the Conference Proceedings which will be distributed at the Conference.

Submission of full papers with an abstract in approximately 300 words, keywords and references on A4 size paper with margin 1.25 cm on all side in MS Word format in 12 points New Times Roman type single line spacing.

Exhibition facility and stalls will be available for the entire three days to exhibit relevant products and services in tune with the Conference. (The programme is subject to alteration)
