The national conference on Soft computing (SOFTCOMP’11) is organized with a view to introduce the participants with new and recent soft computing techniques and its applications to electrical, electronics, control and allied engineering fields. The main goal of this conference is to bring researchers and engineers together, who work in these fields from various locations to exchange their ideas and findings at the conference. This conference will be an ideal platform for the experts and young researchers to dispense their research findings in the area of soft computing and its applications

About VIT

About SELECT

The School of Electrical Engineering (SELECT) has more than 80 faculty members, with many Ph.D holders among them. All our faculties are actively engaged in carrying out research. The School attracts some of the brightest students. SELECT offers B.Tech, M. Tech programme and M.S.(by research), Ph.D. programmes in over 10 areas of specialisation. The placement record has always been very impressive at SELECT. Many students hold prestigious posts in MNCs and blue-chip companies. Students also find good openings in Germany, France, Denmark, Canada and U.S.A. Our students have won many laurels in national and international forums and have published papers in prestigious journals. SELECT has state-of-the-art laboratories in Power Electronics and Drives, Electrical Machines, Control and Instrumentation and exclusive research Laboratories to carry out high quality research.

The School has the latest simulation tools to cater to various specialisations and is equipped with facilities for measurement, characterisation and synthesis of experimental as well as theoretical results. SELECT has entered into MoUs and agreements with national and international R&D and academic institutions such as CGCRI, IGCAR, TVS-Electronics, IITMadras, JNCASR-Bangalore, University of Applied Sciences, Karlsruhe, Germany, Institute of Superior Technology, France, and IMEC Belgium. Every year, students get scholarships from VIT under the Semester Abroad Program (SAP). They also get scholarships for projects from foreign universities which have MoUs with VIT.

PAPER SUBMISSION

Authors are invited to prepare the papers conforming to the IEEE format in MS Word and can be submitted through the link https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=softcomp11 The papers that do not conform to the IEEE format will not be published in the conference proceedings. The accepted papers with full registration fee will be published in the proceedings. The IEEE paper template can be downloaded at:www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html. Best selected papers from the conference will be published in ELIXER online journal.
