THE INSTITUTION

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) is an Institute of National Importance, formerly known as Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT). Presently, along with about 200 faculty members and 4000 students, the institute is successfully meeting the objectives of producing professionally
qualified manpower of the highest quality to cope up with challenges of ever evolving industrial needs of the country. The institute currently runs 13 UG and 20 PG courses and research programs leading to Ph.D..

THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Computer Applications was established in the year 1987; it strives towards excellence in the field of computer science and applications. The vision of the department is to establish computer science & applications centre of excellence for learning and research. The department offers a program in Master of Computer Applications(MCA),and PhD programme in the area of Networks and cloud computing, Data Mining, Mobile computing, Pattern recognition, and Information retrieval.

SCOPE OF THE PROGRAM

Soft Computing and knowledge mining is concerned with the computational modeling to extract the
knowledge. The main objective of the Workshop is aimed to provide a discussion platform for researchers who want to use Soft Computing algorithms for the solution of their problems. This workshop will be
helpful to participants from computer science for their Research and Development. The subject of the workshop has wide applications in the various area of Computer Science such as VLSI, Data Mining, Networks, Communication, Security, Bioinformatics, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Robotics etc. It also aims at presenting future directions in the area of Soft Computing and Knowledge Mining for very complex
data sets & their applications. This will give wider exposure of the subject and will be useful to the participants in their research work and the development of various technologies.

Registration Fee: Rs.1000/-

Registration fees may be sent as Demand Draft in favour of Director MANIT,Bhopal payable at SBI, MANIT, Bhopal.

The registration form is available on institute website www.manit.ac.in. Xerox copies of the registration form can also be used.
