Position Checker
To check engineering drawings and Pro/E models for completeness, accuracy and conformance to established Engineering Standards and practices.
Duties
The engineering checker will review 3D models of the components and assemblies to ensure that the model conforming to the standard modeling practices.
The checker is required to systematically review and check the new release and revised drawings for completeness of information, accuracy and conformance to CPPS, material and process standards, engineering specifications and the engineering design and manufacturing concepts. This position assures that the part will function properly when assembled by checking the accuracy and placement of dimensions and by ensuring proper use of tolerances. Drawings are required to be checked to assure that the part or assembly is graphically represented with adequate views, relevant material and heat treat specification are applied and for use of sound engineering principles. The checker needs to check drawings for Datum Reference Systems, Datum’s, all the relevant Geometric tolerances and possible manufacturing and assembly problems. The checker is also responsible to check engineering notices for accuracy and completeness
