“PRAGNYA” A National level Technical symposium conducted by Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering., JNTUHCEH. It has been conducting from past seven years. This year we are very proud to conduct “PRAGNYA-2011”. The main aim of our event is to gather innovative ideas of students from all over the nation. Students from undergraduate stream of universities and colleges all over the nation are invited.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering is one of the oldest departments in the college, has been instrumental in shaping the destines of several world class professionals with highly qualified and experienced staff and well equipped laboratories with sophisticated equipment to facilitate research activities..

The faculty of this department involved as resource personnel for continuing education programme for 4 year B.Tech degree course by contact-cum-correspondence (CCC) organized by School of continuing and distance education, J.N. T. University Hyderabad

The Faculty members in the department are actively involved in research and consultancy services. The Department is offering research programs leading to Ph.D.s on regular and part-time basis. Also the Department has been getting research grants from various funding agencies. The performance of the students of this in the campus placement is encouraging. With the state of the art equipment in laboratories and highly qualified faculty, the Department is attracting top rankers of EAMCET who are molded to cater the industrial needs. The Department has well equipped with Laboratories. Further Department computer Labs are well equipped with the desk top systems and software's namely PSPICE, MATLAB with 30 Tool Boxes, PSCAD, ETAP, CYME, PSIM and POWER WORLD. The Department has upgraded its laboratories with TEQIP funds and established new Power Electronics Drives Laboratory for PG programs which is unique in the state.
