BlueTec Diesel Technology
Abstract
Diesel engines are the most preferred for heavy vehicles but the diesel emissions are very toxic. NOx is one of the main constituents of diesel emissions. In this paper I will be dealing with how automobile giant Daimler Chrysler effectively uses a very recent emission control technique i.e. SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction ) process to reduce the NOx emissions . Basics of SCR process are also explained in order to understand the BlueTec Diesel technology better.
Introduction
Automobile Giant Daimler Chrysler incorporated the SCR emission control process to reduce the NOx emissions and by using high efficiency engines they came up with a new technology known as BlueTec Diesel Technology.
