ABSTRACT

Today world is the world of automation. In every field automation is going on. In the field of sugarcane harvesting the automation is done by implementing the Mechanized sugarcane harvesting technology.

Sugarcane harvesting is process of the cutting the sugarcane at ground level without leaving any stubble. Nowdays the cane harvesting is done by manual operation in India. But due to some problems such as labour are not available at proper time, increase in area under cane, increase in number of factories in operation and in order to increase the recovery the sugarcane harvester is developed.

This seminar includes introduction of sugarcane harvesting in India, historical development of the harvester, what type of harvester are developed. The construction and working of haevester, result of harvester during test taken at sahada, advantages and suggestions to fully commercialize the machine and finally the conclusion is that in future mechanized sugarcane harvester will bring new revolution in the field of sugarcane harvesting.
