International Conference on Advances in Materials and Materials Processing

On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, is organizing an International Conference on Advances in Materials and Materials Processing (ICAMMP-2011) during 9-11 December, 2011.

The ICAMMP-2011 is being organized for the third time in succession with its two earlier events in 2001 and 2006.

The Conference will provide the professionals from academic institutions, research laboratories and industry a forum to meet and discuss common issues pertaining to materials research.

Call for papers

Papers are invited for presentation at the conference.

The title and abstract of the papers not exceeding 500 words should be sent (by e-mail/regular post/online) to the conveners before 15 May 2011. The following schedule will be maintained:

Notification of acceptance 15 June 2011
Submission of full paper 30 September 2011

Venue - IIT Kharagpur

IIT Kharagpur, established in 1951, is the first in the chain of fifteen IITs, the institutes of higher technology in India. With 32 departments and centers, about 60 postgraduate programmes, a faculty strength of 530 and around 9000 students, it is the largest technological institute in the country and it also attracts the largest amount of sponsored research.

Kharagpur is located 120 km south west of Kolkata and is connected by rail and a national highway. The climate of Kharagpur during the early December is pleasantly cool.
