National Workshop on Nonlinear Dynamical Systems (NDS 2011) At National Institute of Technology, Durgapur

Theory of nonlinear dynamical systems provides important tools to model and study many complex phenomena in almost every disciplines of science and engineering. In last four decades there has been tremendous growth of interest in the study of nonlinear dynamical systems. In fact, nonlinear dynamical systems has now emerged as one of the major interdisciplinary subject. The advancement of the theory of nonlinear dynamical systems complemented by the power of computing in recent years made possible to tackle many so far unsolved nonlinear problems.

This workshop will consist of invited and contributory talks as well as poster presentations by the participants. The talks will mainly focus on the fundamentals of the following topics:

1. Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems
2. Delay Differential Equations.
3. Chaotic Time Series Analysis
4. Complex Network

Applications of the nonlinear dynamical systems theory will also be discussed in the following fields of study:

1. Convection
2. Fluid Turbulence
3. Electronic Circuit
4. System Biology
5. Chaos and Synchronization
6. Plasma Physics
