ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Advancement in the area of power electronics and Instrumentation demands high performing, cost-effective and portable power sources. Rapid diminishing reserves of fossil fuels and increasing awareness on global warming are among the pressing needs for developing greener power source technologies. Electrochemistry has a major slice on alternative renewable energy generation and storage. Storage batteries, fuel cells and super-capacitors are the major thrust area of research around the globe.
The Asian Conference on Electrochemical Power Sources was initiated by Professor Zempachi Ogumi in Japan in the year 2006, later it was organized in China (2007), Korea (2008), Taiwan (2009), Singapore (2010) and in 2012 we organize the sixth conference in India. The ACEPS provides a regional forum for scientists, engineers and technologists to discuss latest developments and share knowledge in the discipline of electrochemical power sources, and promote the collaboration among participants from this region. ACEPS have been spearheading efforts in propagating the message of electrochemical science and technology as a catalyst for industrial growth. They have also been partners in the dissemination of electrochemical knowledge.
ACEPS - 6, organized at Hotel Green Park, Chennai during 5–8, January, 2012 jointly by CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi and IISc, Bangalore provide a forum for delegates to exchange ideas and to update the knowledge on the electrochemical power systems. The present meeting covers a wide range of topics in the area of storage batteries, fuel cells and super-capacitors. The conference provides a common podium for wide interactions among participants from the industries and academia of Asia. Moreover, the conference takes stock of developments in this area and propels frontier research activities and encourages the young brains. CSIR laboratories such as CECRI, NCL, CGCRI, NPL, IICT, etc. and IISc, Bangalore are the key players in India in the theme of the conference. Renowned experts and technologists from Asia have confirmed their participation in this conference. This naturally opens up windows of deliberations and dissemination of ideas and opportunities for CSIR scientists in particular and Indian researchers as a whole for planning future research initiatives.
Call for Papers
Technical papers on various aspects of storage batteries, fuel cells and super-capacitors are invited for presentation at the conference in oral/poster sessions. Contributing authors are requested to send their abstracts in electronic version (word format) containing maximum 250 words, two figures and one table in a single page by e-mail (aceps6.abstracts@gmail.com) along with the duly filled-in registration form. The abstract should include objectives of the study, results and tentative conclusions. Please indicate the theme on the abstract and your choice for oral or poster presentation. However, the committee reserves the right to reassign presentations as deemed appropriate. The name of the authors, the presenting author, their affiliations, addresses, fax, e-mail, telephone/mobile numbers should be mentioned.
All the registered delegates are entitled to receive an abstract book along with registration kit.
First Circular & Call for Papers
Commercial Exhibition
Exhibitor participation is an important feature of the event. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of products and services, plus the latest developments in electrochemical products. It will provide the exhibiting industry/organization with a unique opportunity to access a high profile, highly targeted, global audience from the government, industry and the electrochemical community at large.
Invitation
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our privilege and pleasure to invite you to the 6th Asian Conference on Electrochemical power Sources (ACEPS – 6) to be held during 5–8 January, 2012 at Hotel Green Park, Chennai, India.
This ACEPS – 6 is intended to provide an open forum to the Asian Community to present and deliberate on the latest findings of research activities in the thematic topics of viz., storage batteries, fuel Cells and super-capacitors.
This conference would pave way to listen to stimulating lectures and presentations by distinguished speakers in the theme areas and would, further, facilitate to exchange professional ideas, to meet colleagues of common research objectives and to provide chances for establishing possible collaborative initiatives.
Chennai, formerly known as Madras, the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is located on the Coromandel Coast of the Bay of Bengal. The city was established in the 17th century and is India's second largest exporter of software, information technology and information technology-enabled services. Chennai is a major centre for music, art and culture in India and its 14 km long shoreline add to its beauty. Chennai is well connected to other parts of India by road, rail and air.
We are sure that this conference would give a memorable experience for you both on personal and professional grounds. Your active participation in the ACEPS - 6 would certainly enhance the overall quality of the conference.
We look forward to seeing you in January 2012.
