Introduction

AKGIM, Ghaziabad and ISTD, Delhi Chapter take pleasure in inviting you to contribute papers and participate in International Conference on “Organizations in the new Millennium: Challenges & Opportunities”. (ICON 2011).

The Conference will be a platform for academic thinkers and practitioners globally, to share, discuss and develop Intellectual Capital for guiding organizations to develop in the present era of challenges for business excellence. The Conference shall discuss and deliberate upon the global challenges ahead, design and implement organization development strategies for benefiting organizations globally to have a competitive edge. Conference Theme and Focus

The theme of the conference is “Organizations in the New Millennium: Challenges and Opportunities”. Organizations which are innovative and adaptable to changes in the present liberalized world economy, sustains. Today teams and organizations face rapid changes like never before and Globalization as one of the major factor has increased the market opportunities for more comprehensive growth. However, increasingly diverse markets have wide variety of needs and expectations that must be understood, if they are to become strong customers and collaborators.

Concurrently, scrutiny of stakeholders has increased in context of irresponsible corporate behavior, which we have seen in recent years. In view of this, enormous changes are required at macro and micro levels of the Organizations and strategies are required to be developed. The ability to manage change, while continuing to meet the needs of stakeholders, is a very important skill required by today's leaders and managers. Thus it is very important for all academicians, researchers, management practitioners and administrators to sit together and propose the strategies for Organizations in the new Millennium.

Guidelines for Papers

* All papers will be evaluated through a double blind review process constituted by drawing experts from Institutions/ Universities/ Organizations of repute in and outside India.
* Only original, unpublished work is sought. Any proposal submitted to present identical or substantially similar work already published, under review for another conference or publication will not be considered.
* In the covering letter accompanying the manuscript, the contributors should certify that the manuscript has neither been published anywhere nor is it at present being considered anywhere for publication.

Abstract

* The participants are requested to send the abstracts of the papers with a word limit not exceeding 300 words. The font should be Times New Roman in 12 font size. The file must be in MS Word with single line spacing. Name of the authors, their addresses (postal and e-mail), and phone/fax numbers should also be indicated. Each abstract should have at least three key words. It should be sent to the Conference Chairs latest by 15th July, 2011 at icon2011@akgim.edu.in. The accepted abstracts will be notified latest by 25th of July, 2011.

Full and Complete Papers

* The deadline for submission of complete papers is 15th August 2011 Full length paper should not be more than 3000 words (Maximum 10 pages).
* Tables, illustrations, charts, figures etc. should be serially numbered and duly acknowledged. Sources of the data need to be given below each table.
* Only those references that are actually utilized should be included in the reference list and should be alphabetically arranged.
* The first page of the manuscript should have the title of the paper, name of the author(s), organization affiliation, complete mailing address, phone number, fax number (if any) and e-mail address.
* Please do not indicate author(s) name, affiliation or any other such information in the manuscript elsewhere. Soft copy of the paper in the above mentioned format should be submitted by e mail at icon2011@akgim.edu.in
* The blind review expert committee will screen the papers.

Presentation Schedule

* The conference shall be organized in sessions.
* Each session shall be chaired by an expert from an educational institute/industry.
* Presentation by author(s): 15 minutes.
* Discussion/ replies to questions by author(s): 5 minutes.
* LCD Projector/OHP/LAPTOPS will be provided for presentation.

Publication of Papers

Select papers shall be published in the proceedings of the conference. A copy of the publication will be provided to all the registered participants.

Registration Rules and Mode of Payment

* On acceptance of the full paper the participants are requested to register by sending an email at icon2011@akgim.edu.in
* One author must get registered for paper presentation.
* In case of multi authors, desirous of certificates, all authors will have to separately register.
* A single author presenting multiple papers should register for each paper if all papers are accepted.
* In case of students who are presenting their papers, it is mandatory for the faculty who are guiding them to register for the conference if they want the certificate of conference.
* No TA/DA will be paid to any delegate who presents the paper in the conference.

Ghaziabad is a part of India's National Capital Region. The best way to reach Ghaziabad is via Delhi. The town is located at a distance of 55 KMs from Indira Gandhi International Airport and 30 KMs from New Delhi railway station.
