Terms and conditions
1. Candidates in service should submit applications through proper channel. However they can send an advance copy along with requisite fee and attested photo copy of certificates and can produce NOC at the time of interview.
2. The number of posts shall be decided depending on requirement / norms at the time of interview.
3. The college reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all of the above posts.
4. Applications must reach by 11.07.2011 (5.00 PM) by all means and the college will not be responsible for non-receipt / late receipt of applications due to any postal delay.
5. Passing in Punjabi Subject of matric standard is essential for all the above posts.
6. Candidates having experience of working in Engineering / Technical Institution may be preferred.
7. Incomplete applications will be rejected without entering into any correspondence.
8. Candidates must write name of the department, post applied & category on top of the envelope.
9. Reservation as per Punjab Government norms shall be followed.
10. The Director can place before the Selection Committee names of suitable persons for its consideration along with the applications received in response to the advertisement.
11. If any information supplied by the candidate in his application form is found to be incorrect / false at any stage, his candidature / selection will stand cancelled.
12. The post of Assistant Professor can be filled either as regular post / and / or on contract.
13. The interviews for higher posts may be conducted at an appropriate time after its due approval by governing body.

PROLOGUE
The research on nanomaterials expanded so fast and now it is one of the most popular research topics among the scientists and engineers due to their variety of structures, interesting properties, as well as high technological applications in electronics, catalysis, pharmaceutics, biology and so forth. Polymers today find
applications in nearly every industry and area of life. The polymer nanocomposites have been the staple of modern polymer industry and the development of polymer nanocomposites is rapidly emerging as a multidisciplinary research activity since the results could broaden the applications of polymers to the great benefit of many different industries.
Polymer nanocomposites are a unique new class of materials with an ultrafine dispersion of nanomaterials in a polymeric matrix. With much superior properties, they show a lot of promise in developing a wide range of advanced products. The applications can be in domains such as biomedical, electronics, sensors, energy, automotive, sports gear, medical, defence, textile, cosmetics, construction, gas barrier, flame retardants,
packaging and also aircraft and aerospace engineering besides a range of smart and intelligent products. The main objective of this seminar is to provide academicians, researchers and students to gain immense knowledge about the applications of polymer nanocomposite materials in various fields.

National Power Electronics Conference 2011
The National Power Electronics Conference 2011 (NPEC 2011) is the 5th biennial conference of the Power Electronics community in India, focusing on the ongoing research in this area and seeking to find potential users of the laboratory-scale developments in industry. Launched in 2003 October at IIT Bombay, it was biennially held at IIT Kharagpur in December 2005, at IISc Bangalore in December 2007, at IIT Roorkee in June 2010. The present version of NPEC will be held in December 2011.
The objectives of the conference are to provide a forum to promote and accelerate high quality research inviting professional interactions for the advancement and indigenisation of Power Electronics in India. Papers with up-to-date research results are encouraged for submission. Specifically, papers having significant experimental results to validate the propositions will be given preference. Technical papers will be accepted for presentation after peer review. The pre-conference tutorials will be held on December 19, 2011. Apart from these plenary sessions, keynote lectures and invited talks will also be held.The country’s industry, research establishments and academia are cordially invited to participate in the paper presentations, tutorials, special sessions, exhibitions and social activities, and enjoy the hospitality of the 155-year old engineering institution which was the mother of the entire planning and implementation of IIT system in India.
Located flush on the banks of the river Hooghly, the erstwhile Bengal Engineering College (or B.E. College) presently stands as Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur, Howrah. Sprawling over 170 acres of lush and varied greenery (being a part of the Indian Botanic Garden, 155 years ago) it has 7 halls of residence, 8 hostels, 2 of the best and biggest campus based playgrounds in eastern India. It has too many dwindling ingredients of “the Raj days”. Historic buildings, the celebrated clock-tower, the lush greenery and the cool river breeze - all cast a spell. It is 45 minutes drive from the Dum Dum Airport, 15 minutes from the Howrah railway terminus, 30 minutes from the Sealdah railway terminus and 20 minutes from the Kolkata City centre. The new railhead at Shalimar is 2 minutes drive from the campus. It is also in the fitness of things, that the Department of Electrical Engineering is simultaneously celebrating its Centenary year.

FIRST SUBMISSION
Interested authors must submit an abstract of 200 words (maximum) and a 5-page extended abstract of the work. The Abstract of 200 words must first mention the appropriate sub-area as laid down under each topic paragraph as mentioned in the menu, "Topics of Interest". Please follow the link, "Paper Submission" in the main page for uploading the abstract and uploading the extended abstract (extended abstract should be a pdf file).
The extended abstract (A4 paper, 5 pages long) must present the problem and its motivation, key equations and important results. It should also contain the abstract of the paper, figures, tables, results and references as appropriate. Experimental evidence presented in the extended abstract will be of value to the reviewers rather than a promise of the same in the final paper. The extended abstract should contain only the title of the paper, and should not contain the names and affiliations of the authors as the review will be “double blind.” The extended abstract should be in double-column format with single line spacing and a font size of 11. Graphics must be of sufficiently high resolution. Text inside graphics must be legible and should not be below font size 7. Authors must try to send the complete paper in the form of the extended abstract so that only the modifications suggested by the reviewers are added in the final paper which should not exceed 6 pages.
FINAL SUBMISSION
The "Authors' kit", detailing the format of the final paper, will be posted here in future.
The final paper should not exceed 6 A4 pages. For each extra page thereafter, additional charges have to be paid, as would be decided LATER by the organizers and will be posted here in future.
Accepted papers have to be FINALLY presented orally by one of the registered authors for getting included in the final conference proceedings.
The final papers will be included in the conference proceedings which will be brought out in electronic form on compact disks / dvd’s. Along with final submission (if not earlier), at least one of the authors must register for the conference for the paper to be included in the proceedings. A book of abstracts will also be published.
For wider dissemination, the accepted papers will be archived in the NaMPET website (www.nampet.org) which will permit free access to registered users under terms and conditions for fair use.

Location
The National Power Electronics Conference (NPEC) 2011 will be held in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU), Howrah, India - 711103.
BESU Shibpur is located in the city of Howrah (twin city of Kolkata, more popular as the yesteryear Calcutta). It is in the Shibpur area of Howrah and is near the Botanical Garden (2 bus-stops away). From the Howrah railway station, it is almost 5-6 kms. From Rabindra Sadan, a well-known landmark of southern part of the city of Kolkata, it is around 7 kms via the Vidyasagar Setu (bridge). Frequent bus service, taxi services are available from different parts of Kolkata and also from Howrah Station to BESU.
Accommodation
Persons attending the conference and staying in and around Kolkata will have to arrange for their accommodation themselves. Limited number of rooms are available at the BESU guest house which will be reserved for persons coming from neighbouring states. Date of booking, booking procedure will be put up in the website later. Maximum efforts will be taken to ensure booking of persons coming from far-away places but cannot be guaranteed in the beginning. In case accommodation is arranged, boarding and lodging charges will have to be paid extra (not a part of conference registration charges). Complimentary lunch and snacks will be provided on all conference days and dinner will be provided on 20th and 21st December 2011.

The final papers will be included in the conference proceedings which will be brought out in electronic form on compact disks / dvd’s. Along with final submission (if not earlier), at least one of the authors must register for the conference for the paper to be included in the proceedings. A book of abstracts will also be published.
For wider dissemination, the accepted papers will be archived in the NaMPET website (www.nampet.org) which will permit free access to registered users under terms and conditions for fair use.

The National Power Electronics Conference (NPEC) 2011 will be held in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU), Howrah, India - 711103.
BESU Shibpur is located in the city of Howrah (twin city of Kolkata, more popular as the yesteryear Calcutta). It is in the Shibpur area of Howrah and is near the Botanical Garden (2 bus-stops away). From the Howrah railway station, it is almost 5-6 kms. From Rabindra Sadan, a well-known landmark of southern part of the city of Kolkata, it is around 7 kms via the Vidyasagar Setu (bridge). Frequent bus service, taxi services are available from different parts of Kolkata and also from Howrah Station to BESU.
Accommodation
Persons attending the conference and staying in and around Kolkata will have to arrange for their accommodation themselves. Limited number of rooms are available at the BESU guest house which will be reserved for persons coming from neighbouring states. Date of booking, booking procedure will be put up in the website later. Maximum efforts will be taken to ensure booking of persons coming from far-away places but cannot be guaranteed in the beginning. In case accommodation is arranged, boarding and lodging charges will have to be paid extra (not a part of conference registration charges). Complimentary lunch and snacks will be provided on all conference days and dinner will be provided on 20th and 21st December 2011.

About the ICRACM Conference
Composite materials have unique advantages over monolithic materials, such as high strength, high stiffness, long fatigue life, low density, and adaptability to the intended function of the structure. Significant achievement has been made in the design/development and applications. Considerable innovative research is still continuing for the development of continuous fibre composites and particulate composites for critical
applications. Structural requirements demand ultimate and reliable composite material performance to react to global static and dynamic external and component loads.
Therefore, ICRACM-2013 aims at bringing together academicians and researchers in various disciplines to share knowledge and exchange views, for useful industrial applications of composite materials. The conference will facilitate discussion on the latest trends in the entire gamut of composite materials. The deliberations will certainly be helping researchers for embarking upon newer aspect design and development of various types of composites.

The Banaras Hindu University (BHU), an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi, was established by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviyaji in 1916. The University comprises of 3 Institutes, 15 Faculties, 124 Departments and 4 Interdisciplinary Centers. Institute of Technology (IT) in its present form came into being in 1968. There are 16 Departments/Schools and 7 Centers of Research/ Advance Studies. CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
Many academic institutions, research organizations, consultancy firms, and government organizations are involved in the development of Electrical Engineering in various directions. The proposed conference is providing a common platform to share skill and knowledge on the issues arising out of researches and challenges in the present context. The proposed conference is designed to create opening for discussions for present practices in Electrical Engineering and appraise the same in the circumstance of its long term sustainability.

CONFERENCE THEME & OBJECTIVES
The role of manufacturing in the country’s economy and societal development has long been established through their wealth creation activities. To deepen and broaden our knowledge of manufacturing and to
increase innovation and responsiveness to ever-increasing international needs, more in-depth studies are critically needed at this juncture of global competitive scenario. Hence, to tackle the different issues and
to cope up with the changing environment of manufacturing technology, the aim of the RAM-2010 is to bring together specialists and practitioners from Industries, R&D institutes and Academician and to provide the forum for exchange of ideas.
SUBMISSION OF TECHNICAL PAPERS
Papers are being solicited in the technical areas listed in the conference topics. The authors are requested to send original contribution of ongoing research and unpublished research work related to Manufacturing. Full paper of maximum SIX pages is to be submitted, typed on A4 size paper as per notified format. Title, authors, affiliation, address, phone and e-mail of the authors must be included. Authors will be notified about the acceptance/ revision/rejection of the paper in time.
TECHNICAL PROGRAMMES
The conference will include keynote lectures by renowned experts in the field of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. Accepted papers on current topics of interest on Manufacturing Technology will be presented in parallel sessions.
