Introdcution
Welcome to the Carnival Galore at PESIT this April!, on the 17th, 18th and 19th! PESIT presents a weekend of fun, talent-exhibition and networking to undergraduate students from various fields, from all over India. Participants will see a plethora of events, grouped under 9 super-categories, that put their mental and physical ability to battle with many others. Come be a part of the Extravaganza!, to spend three days like never before!
Aatmatrisha is where the PESIT Student Body puts up their portfolios into best action, giving you the right mix of Technical and Cultural Events. See if you can take on others of varying caliber, and shine above the rest as PESIT Idols, in Technical, Cultural, Fine Arts, Creative, Literary, Informal, Dramatic, Impromptu and Management Events {Include the names we have chosen. Keep your teams prepared, your skills fine-tuned, your spirits high, and face the Fun ahead!
This year is planned to surpass the holdings of the previous year Fest Events at PESIT. Better incorporated high end-technology (including online web resource utilization, communication through SMS Gateways etc.), refined logistics, better execution are a few to note the boom in the Fest activity. The 'events' are so structured to get to you compete in your peak state, 'workshops' to educate you with up-to-date knowledge, 'shows' to captivate your senses and keep you all entertained.
We will have many a celebrities on Campus to enliven the environment. Full scale media coverage will bring exposure to the happenings. The Theme 'Carnival' is incorporated aptly in everywhere on-campus, with a specific area allotted to setup of a mini 'mela', where there will be performances by noted Indian Folk Groups. The PESIT Cultural Team will showcase the talent that the Dance, Music, Dramatics Departments have in store to enthrall the audience on the Cul-Night. Renowned Artistes and Music Bands will form the Mardi-Gras of the Festivity.

Description: Present papers on diverse topics or your own pet projects. Lay all your presentation skills on the table. It's not rocket science, but it might be about just that.
Topic:
Novel applications of present day technologies for betterment of society.
No. Of Participants per Team: At most 3 (three) members.
Time Duration: 8 minutes - Presentation
2 minutes – Question-Answer session.
Note: There will be a penalty for every 1 minute consumed by teams in excess of the allotted time.
1. The submissions should be original and not already published or presented anywhere else. Detailed evaluation criteria will be informed during the event.
2. The submissions should not be a copy of any published work or paper, if found plagiarized, the submissions will be disqualified immediately.
3. All the teams will be required to report at the fest venue on the time and date informed. Failure to report on the given date and time will lead to disqualification of the respective submissions.
4. Teams Participating will have to submit (3) three copies of their paper/submission (one soft copy and two hard copies) 2 days prior to their presentation to the organisers. All such documents will be retained by the organisers for evaluation and marking.
5. No two teams can have a common member.
6. The decision of the judges/panel would be final and binding and no communication will be entertained in this respect.
7. Teams will be provided with a projector output and a PC (Windows XP). Own PCs/Laptops will be preferred. Slide presentations (if applicable) should be in standard formats (PPT) only. Any supplemental/extra software used by the teams for the presentation should be notified to the organisers (2 hours) prior to the presentation and should be arranged by the participants themselves.
Eliminations:
Abstract has to be submitted via email (technical [at] at.pes.edu)
By 10:00pm, DATE (15/4/2009)
Or personally submitted to the Event Heads by 4:00pm, DATE (16/4/2009)
Results of the eliminations will be declared during the event.
