Indian Nanoelectronics Users Program (INUP) IIT Bombay
Introduction
Indian Nanoelectronics Users Program (INUP) is a unique activity jointly run by the Centers of Excellence in Nanoelectronics at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). It is an initiative to create and spread the expertise of Nanoelectronics in the country. INUP serves as a platform for the researchers in Nanoelectronics to come together and benefit from complementary expertise.
The main aim of INUP is to provide hands-on training in Nanoelectronics to researchers from other institutions in the country and assist in the initiation of research in Nanoelectronics by enabling the execution of the work of the external users at INUP at IITB/IISc.
INUP is supported by Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT), Government of India.
Workshop Agenda:
Presentation on the INUP and R & D infrastructure available under INUP
Lectures in the broad areas of Nanoelectronics
Poster presentations demonstrating R&D work undertaken at the Centre
Visit to the various laboratories
Panel discussion on challenges and opportunities in Nanoelectronics
Who can attend:
Any Indian researcher interested to start research and development work in the area of nanoelectronics is welcome to attend. You could be affiliated to academia, research labs or industry, and these institutions could be in the Government, public or private sector. Registration is mandatory and is free of cost.
Accommodation:
Limited on-campus accommodation will be provided on request from participants, subject to availability.
Financial support:
A limited financial support package is available to select candidates from academia. The selection would be based on your preparedness to be a potential user of the nanoelectronics facility under the INUP program. It is important for you to fill in a summary of your proposed work (maximum 200 words) during the on-line registration. The package would include travel support and accommodation. The terms of support are as follows:
1. Students would be supported for travel (by train, 3-tier A/C) and stay (hostel room plus food).
2. Faculty members would be supported for travel (by train, II A/C) and stay (at IITB guest house or equivalent).
