Introduction:

The scheme intends to provide financial assistance to facilitate up-gradation of knowledge, skill provide opportunities for induction training to teachers. Such programs provides in- service teachers and newly appointed teaching faculty

* Opportunities to exchange experience with experts and learn mutually from each other.

* A forum for serving teacher to keep themselves abreast of the latest advances on various subjects.

* Create the culture of learning and self improvement among the teachers.

* Provide opportunities to further widen their knowledge and to pursue research studies.

Lasers:

Laser is one of the most important discoveries of the last century affecting each and every aspect of our lives with wide ranging applications. The present course intends to provide the participants idea about fundamental principles involving lasers and their applications in some of the frontline areas of science and technology.

Eligibility &Financial Assistance:

Faculty from all branches of Science & Engineering are eligible to attend the program. However preference will be given to newly recruited teachers having less than /up to five years of experience in areas of technical education in AICTE approved institutions. It is mandatory that the selected candidate should participate in the program otherwise the amount taken as security deposit will be forfeited. Outstation Teacher participants from recognized Institutes will be paid AC III tier railway fare (all trains) or deluxe bus fare on production of to and fro tickets in original. Reimbursement will be restricted to shortest routs. Free lodging and boarding will be provided to all outstation participants.

About the Institute:

Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (Engineering College) a fully grant in aid Institute is amongst one of the oldest and top ranking Engineering Colleges in M.P. established in 1960. It is spread over 85 acres of land with all the facilities. and has an strength of nearly 3000 students in various courses. It has M.Tech. courses in almost all the major disciplines of Engineering, and also M.B.A., M.C.A., M.Sc courses at P.G. level. At U.G. level it has B.E. courses in eight branches of engineering. The institute also has an active Ph.D. program in specific areas of science and engineering.

About Vidisha:

Vidisha is situated about 50 kms north of Bhopal, well connected by rail and road. It has a rich cultural heritage with the world famous Buddhist Stupas at Sanchi 10 km from Vidisha. The town of Besnagar, 3 km from present-day Vidisha on the west side of the Betwa and Bes rivers, became an important trade center in the sixth and fifth centuries BC, under the Sungas, Nagas, Satavahanas, and Guptas, and was mentioned in the Pali scriptures. The Emperor Ashoka was the governor of Vidisha and it finds mention in Kalidasa's immortal Meghdoot. Some other prominent monuments in its vcinity are Udaigiri caves, the Heliodorus pillar, also known as Khamba Baba (erected in approximately 140 BC), the Shiva Temple at Udaipur, Maladevi Temple at Gyaraspur and Dargah of Khwaja Fatehullah at Raisen. During December the temperature ranges from 5C – 25C.
