General Information

Atal Bihari Vajpayee – Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management, Gwalior (ABV – IIITM, Gwalior) is organizing a MHRD/AICTE Sponsored short term training programme on “ Modeling and Simulation in Applied Sciences and Engineering ( MSASE-09) “ from 8th – 12th December, 2009. Candidates admitted will be provided free lodging, boarding and course material. Hostel accommodation is available for participants in “ABV–IIITM, Gwalior“. Those participants not availing this facility will not be entitled to any rebate. Family accommodation is not available on campus. Candidates from academic institutions / R&D organizations will be paid TA by “ABV – IIITM, Gwalior “ as per their entitlement ( maximum AC 3tier / Sleeper Class Train / Bus fare).

Objective of the course:

The aim of the short term training programme is to bring together Researchers, Scientist, Engineers and Management scholars from different parts of the country and expose to them different art of mathematical modeling and simulations through invited lecture series. The five days staff development program on “Modeling and Simulation in Applied Sciences and Engineering.” will be a platform for enriching the mathematical flavor and discussion on new thoughts and ideas in various fields. The day to day program will be designed to be interactive with the help of the sessions including experts from premier Institution and presentations from Industry people on different simulation software. The Teachers would get a detailed exposure to the above during the course.

Eligibility :

The course is open to the faculties from all government, private engineering institutions/ university/R&D organizations. There are 20 Special Sponsored seat available to the industry or self sponsored persons on a registration fee each of Rs.4000/- (to be paid by Demand Draft in favour of “Director, ABV-IIITM Gwalior”, payable at Gwalior). These seats will be on first come first serve basis.
