INTRODUCTION

Educational institutions in India, particularly the higher  technological institutions should gear up to meet the challenges by improving the quality of education. It is imperative that every engineering college focuses on the following aspects to stay ahead:

   1. Effective and dedicated teaching
   2. Assurance of educational quality

This programme is being organised with the overall objective of providing an opportunity for engineering college faculty to imbibe effective teaching skills. This in turn will bring in quality assurance in the institution.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the programme are:                        

    * To create greater awareness about the role of  teachers in the existing education system
    * To highlight the qualities of a good teacher

To explorer the importance of various attributes related to teaching – learning process.

Besides SCT Faculty, experts from NITTTR, IIT, Bharathidasan University and Freelance consultants will be involved.
