Fifteenth National Convention of Electrochemists (NCE-15) February 18-19, 2010
VIT University
Vellore 632 014, Tamil Nadu.

The Society for Advancement of Electrochemical Science and Technology (SAEST) is a premier body of electrochemists that provides a common platform for scientists, technologists and industrialists to exchange knowledge in electrochemistry and related fields. Towards this goal, SAEST organizes a number of national and international conferences/seminars/symposia by bringing together eminent electrochemists and electrochemical engineers. Electrochemistry, a truly interdisciplinary field of science, plays a vital role in areas such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Metallurgy, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi a constituent laboratory of CSIR, New Delhi, is one of the largest electrochemical laboratories in the world, has 142  scientists and engineers working under a single canopy on all aspects of electrochemistry and related areas. The institute is equipped with some of the most advanced facilities for electrochemical research, and is well supported by a library, computer centre and a workshop. It has extension centres at Chennai, Mandapam and Tuticorin. Besides, it runs a B.Tech. course in chemical and electrochemical engineering - affiliating to Anna University, Trichy. SAEST, in association with the Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi, & VIT University, Vellore is organizing the 15 NATIONAL CONVENTION OF ELECTROCHEMISTS at the VIT University, Vellore during February 18-19, 2010.
