Introduction

Lab View is one of the most popular  software languages that is shaping the way of virtual instrumentation. Virtual instrume-ntation is now into all fields of engineering and technology spanning communication systems, signal processing, control system engineering, biomedical engineering, com-puter aided design.

Course Objectives:

The course is aimed at hands on experience with Lab view starting from the fundamentals. It further aims at training for creation of applications for acquiring real world data, followed by processing and display. The applications will be focused on signal processing and communications, data acquisition and instrument control, test and measurement. The primary goal of the course is to motivate the widespread use of Lab view by the faculty in their respective workplaces for active teaching and research. Research directions in some of new areas will also be provided Course Contents
• Introduction to elements of Labview – modular programming, loops, arrays, clusters, strings and files etc
• Creation of custom VIs
• Analog communication design
• Digital communication design
• Optical Communication design
• Signal processing design
• Instrument Control design
• Data Acquisition
• Application in physical sciences

Faculty conducting this programme:

The faculty of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and other allied departments of NIT Warangal will form the core group for conducting this programme. Guest faculty will also be drawn from leading industries, technical institutes and R&D organizations actively involved in the field.

ELIGIBILITY: The programme is open to the teachers of AICTE approved engineering colleges working in the concerned/allied discipline.

HOW TO APPLY: A filled in form of application in the prescribed format duly signed and sponsored by appropriate authorities should reach the coordinator by post. It is also mandatory to send scanned application form through e-mail to vvmani2000@gmail.com, sbath2000@yahoo.com as selection will be intimated only through mail.

SELECTION: The number of teacher participants is around 50. A maximum number of 10 participants from R&D organizations can also be accommodated in the program. The selected participants list will be notified in the institute web site www.nitw.ac.in and also will be sent to their personal e-mail ids.

ACCOMMODATION: All the selected participants will be provided FREE boarding & lodging in the institute guesthouses.

TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE (TA):

Second Class Sleeper train fare will be paid to the participants only in case the distance between their headquarters and Warangal / Kazipet is beyond 300 Kms.

About the Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering offers an Undergraduate program in Electronics and communication Engineering and three Postgraduate programs in EI, VLSI, and ACS Specializations. The Department has experienced faculty and well-established laboratories. The Department has liaison with reputed industries and R&D organizations like DRDO, ISRO ECIL, Analog Devices Bangalore and C-DAC.
