About the Institution

K.L.N.College of Engineering is the first self financing co–educational Engineering College in Madurai started in the year 1994. This college is sponsored by a committee of eminent industrialists and academicians led by a great philanthropist
Shri.K.L.N.Krishnan. This college has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University. The college conducts 7 U.G courses and 5 P.G courses in engineering and computer applications. This college is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. This college campus situated in a quite environment about 11 Km from Madurai city.

About the Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is accredited by NBA and it was started in the year 1994. It runs a Post Graduate course in Power System Engineering besides the Under Graduate Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department has well experienced, dedicated faculty members with different field of specialization. The department is well equipped with the latest equipments in Electrical Machines Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Control and Instrumentation Lab and has excellent computing facilities with the latest software like ETAP, PSCAD and MATLAB in power system simulation lab.

Eligibility

This FDP is open to faculty of EEE, EIE, ECE and PG students of Power System Engineering , Control and Instrumentation and Power Electronics disciplines, research scholars from the institutions recognized and approved by AICTE, engineers from industry and other organizations associated with power and control sector.

Registration fee

Faculty from Colleges : Rs. 500/-
PG Students : Rs. 300/-

The registration fee includes the registration kit, course material, Snacks and Lunch. The fees should be sent by Demand Draft drawn in favor of “THE PRINCIPAL, K.L.N.COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING payable at Madurai. Spot registration is also permitted. Participants , who would like to commute daily from Madurai, can avail the Bus transport of K.L.N.C.E. The fee does not cover accommodation and No TA/DA will be provided to the participants. However on request and depending on the availability, accommodation could be provided in the student hostel at moderate charges.

About the FDP

Linear Control system is the core subject for UG (EEE , EIE, ECE) students and Non Linear Control system is the core subject for PG (PSE , C&I and PED) Students. With the advanced development of Electric systems, the study of Linear and Nonlinear Control Systems has importance for good perceptive and application. This FDP provides a platform for the students, teaching professionals working in the Engineering Colleges and Engineers from organizations, to know about control system theoretically and practically.
