ABSTRACT

In the recent trend of technology, the cost effective materials in buildings has given much importance. This material gives rich appearance with high aesthetic value in its primitive and natural colours. The very first notion of the civil engineering “FORM FOLLOW FUNCTION” could be achieved by adopting the cost effective materials and thereby achieve better form, better design for a better living. This paper consists of a detailed study of cost effective building materials in wall units. Each material is explained with respect to production, construction, advantages and comparison with conventional type etc.
