Call for Papers

The current networked world has created a global landscape and a mandate for a significant change. The Internet has enabled communication and collaboration across the world and brought many computing models. In that landscape, people and organizations have been distributing the work, service and technology anywhere in the world. The last decade is marked by the development of many technologies and strategies in improving the efficiency of computation. Heuristic-based methods and reasoning have also been reported in the literature but little effort has been made by researchers to combine all the available techniques. The proposed conference will discuss what we can learn from computing systems and how we can implement the output of computing systems in an intelligent way using the state-of-the-art methods and technologies.
This conference will bring research across the countries at a broad level on computing systems. The conference will have presentations, workshops and industrial contributions on intelligent computing.

1. Journal of Digital Information Management
2. International Journal of Web Applications
3. International Journal of Information Studies
4. Journal of Intelligent Computing

Workshop Proposals

The Conference Committee invites proposals from prospective researchers to organize one day workshops during the ICIIC 2010.

The main goal of the ICIIC 2010 workshops is to stimulate and facilitate active exchange, interaction and comparison of approaches, methods and ideas related to specific topics, both theoretical and applied, in the general areas related to Intelligent Computing and Agents. The workshops will provide an optimum environment where participants will have the opportunity to discuss specific technical topics in an atmosphere that fosters the active exchange of ideas.
The workshop organizers will be responsible for notifying the workshop, forming the program committees, reviewing and selecting the papers, and ensure high quality of papers. All papers accepted for workshops will be included in the Workshop Proceedings.
The workshop organizers will also have the discretion of editing selected papers (after their expansion and revision) into books or special journal issues. Workshops may be full-day or half-day. A full-day workshop should select 10-14 regular papers, while a half-day workshop should select 5-7 regular papers, from a large number of submissions.

Workshop Proposal Submission

Workshop proposals should include the following elements:
* Title of the workshop
* The organizers name, affiliation, mailing address and e-mail address
* A description of the topic of the workshop (not exceeding 200 words)
* Type of the workshop (full-day or half-day)
* A description of how the workshop will contribute to the field of Intelligence computing and/or Intelligent Agent Technology
* A short description on how the workshop will be advertised so as to ensure a sufficiently wide range of authors and high quality papers
* Optionally, only for full-day workshops, the title of a proposed panel, with a brief description highlighting the reasons of interest of the issues to be debated
After the acceptance of a workshop proposal the organizer(s) should:
* Create a Call for papers/participation for the workshop
* Create a Web page for the workshop, the link of which will be published on the Conference Web site
* Create a Board of Reviewers (Program Committee)
* Review and select papers
* Schedule the workshop activities.
Those papers selected by a workshop organizer will also be reviewed by the Workshop Co-Chairs for final acceptance.
All submitted papers will be reviewed on the basis of technical quality, relevance, significance, and clarity.
We will provide an online paper submission and review system to support the workshops.

Submission Procedures

All submissions should follow IEEE paper guidelines.
The following style files and templates are available for users of LaTeX and Microsoft Word:

LaTeX users: LaTeX style file with margin, page layout, font, etc. definitions, BiBTeX style file with bibliography style definitions, and LaTeX template file. (click here to download all these files in a zip file)

Word users: Word 97/2000 Sample, a template of correct formatting and font use.

Use the following guidelines when preparing your manuscript:
LENGTH: You are allowed a total of 6 pages for your document (including all figures, tables, and references). Additional pages cost $60 per page with a maximum of 2 pages.

MAIN TITLE: The main title (on the first page) should begin 1-3/8 inches (3.49 cm) from the top edge of the page, centered, and in Times 14-point, boldface type. Capitalize the first letter of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs; do not capitalize articles, coordinate conjunctions, or prepositions (unless the title begins with such a word). Leave two 12-point blank lines after the title.

AUTHOR NAMES AND AFFILIATIONS: Author names and affiliations are to be centered beneath the title and printed in Times 12-point, non-boldface type. Multiple authors may be shown in a two- or three-column format, with their affiliations italicized and centered below their respective names. Include e-mail addresses if possible. Author information should be followed by two 12-point blank lines.

MARGINS: Any text or other material outside the margins specified below will not be accepted. All printed material, including text, illustrations, and charts, must be kept within a print area of 6-1/2 inches (16.51 cm) wide by 8-7/8 inches (22.51 cm) high. Do not write or print anything outside the print area. All text must be in a two-column format. Columns are to be 3-1/16 inches (7.85 cm) wide, with a 3/8 inch (0.81 cm) space between them. Text must be fully justified. A format sheet with the margins and placement guides is available as PDF file
. It contains lines and boxes showing the margins and print areas. If you hold it and your printed page up to the light, you can easily check your margins to see if your print area fits within the space allowed.

SECOND AND FOLLOWING PAGES: The second and following pages should begin 1.0 inch (2.54 cm) from the top edge. On all pages, the bottom margin should be approximately 1-5/8 inches (4.13 cm) from the bottom edge of the page.

TYPEFACE: We strongly encourage authors to use Times-Roman 10-point font. If a font face is used that is not recognized by the submission system, your proposal will not be reproduced correctly. No font size smaller than 9 points should be used anywhere in your paper, including figure captions. Avoid using bit-mapped fonts if possible. True-Type 1 fonts are preferred.

MAIN TEXT: Type your main text in 10-point Times, single-spaced. Do not use double-spacing. All paragraphs should be indented 1/4 inch (approximately 0.5 cm). Be sure your text is fully justified—that is, flush left and flush right. Please do not place any additional blank lines between paragraphs. DO NOT PUT PAGE NUMBERS on your document. We will add appropriate page numbers to accepted papers.

FIGURE AND TABLE: High quality, camera ready figures and/or tables are required. Captions should be 10-point boldface Helvetica (or a similar sans-serif font). Callouts should be 9-point non-boldface Helvetica. Initially capitalize only the first word of each figure caption and table title. Figures and tables must be numbered separately. For example: “Figure 1. Database contexts”, “Table 1. Input data”. Figure captions are to be centered below the figures. Table titles are to be centered above the tables.

FIRST-ORDER HEADINGS: For example, “1. Introduction”, should be Times 12-point boldface, initially capitalized, flush left, with one blank line before, and one blank line after. Use a period (“.”) after the heading number, not a colon.

SECOND-ORDER HEADINGS: As in this heading, they should be Times 11-point boldface, initially capitalized, flush left, with one blank line before, and one after.

THIRD-ORDER HEADINGS: Third-order headings, as in this paragraph, are discouraged. However, if you must use them, use 10-point Times, boldface, initially capitalized, flush left, preceded by one blank line, followed by a period and your text on the same line.

FOOTNOTES: Use footnotes sparingly (or not at all) and place them at the bottom of the column on the page on which they are referenced. Use Times 8-point type, single-spaced. To help your readers, avoid using footnotes altogether and include necessary peripheral observations in the text (within parentheses, if you prefer, as in this sentence).

REFERENCES: List and number all bibliographical references in 9-point Times, single-spaced, at the end of your paper. When referenced in the text, enclose the citation number in square brackets, for example [1]. Where appropriate, include the name(s) of editors of referenced books.
