Overview
The focus of this conference is on the interdisciplinary research on how experience and creativity are modeled in cognition. However, the forum is also open for a discussion of other aspects of cognition as long as they shed some light on the main theme. We also hope to stimulate national and international collaborations in this area.
Themes
• Cognitive correlates of experience and creativity
• Experience per se: Which theoretical positions offer a reasonable metaphysical account of experience?
Is experience non-metaphorical?
• Experience as Anubhava: An inquiry into the Indian theoretical tradition of perception and experience
• Creativity in Cognition: Models of creative cognition, mechanisms for stimulating creativity.
• Other related topics…
Format
There will be invited talks and some submitted paper presentations. We also encourage research students to submit short papers and posters.
We will also organize one or two panel discussions to consider current research issues and future research directions in this area. There will be plenty of opportunity for the participants to mingle and have individual discussions.
