ABSTRACT:

As we know VLSI Design is the heart of today’s revolution and it is rapidly expanding at unbelievable speed. It is one of the dominant technologies of the century used to design and manufacture integrated circuits at very complex level. It is the most promising technology that will change tomorrow’s world.

VLSI is an important pioneer in the Electronic design automation industry. It offered a sophisticated package of tools, originally based on the 'lambda-based' design style. VLSI Technology defined the leading edge of the Application specific integrated circuit business, which accelerated the push of powerful embedded system into affordable products.

Very-large-scale integration (VLSI) is the process of creating integrated circuits by combining thousands of transistor based circuits into a single chip. VLSI began in the 1970s when complex semiconductor and communication technologies were being developed.

The main aim of this paper is to introduce the VLSI system, design of VLSI system, the day to day application of VLSI system in various fields, use of VLSI in communication system, TV system and so on.
