ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

National Conference on Power Electronics and Controllers for Renewable Energy Systems (PECRES – 2011) provides a national forum for professionals, academicians, and researchers to pr e s ent the l a t e s t deve lopment s f rom interdisciplinary theoretical studies, computational algorithmdevelopment, and applications. PECRES- 2011 particularly welcomes those emerging methodologies and techniques that bridge theoretical studies and practical issues in renewable energy systems. This conference will bring an opportunity to share the concepts, foster the research ideas, and the results of research work which could contribute to the society which would solve the problemof energy crisis.

ABOUTTHEINSTITUTION

K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology was established in the year 1994 with the noble aim of imparting growth by revamping and sharpening the technical knowledge, attitude and abilities of the students. The institute offers 12 under graduate and 12 post graduate courses in addition to research programmes in different Science, Engineering and Technology disciplines. The college is functioning in a vast area and is located about 12Km. fromErode and about 8 Km. from Tiruchengode on the Erode- Tiruchengode state highways. The college excels in academic performance by producing University ranks and results and also in placement. MoU with leading research institutes/industries, well established laboratories, digital libraries and ISO 9001-2000 certification are the salient features of this institution. All the eligible UG and PG courses
are accredited byNBA.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZING DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 1994 to render services to the student community to meet the growing global challenges. The Department offers courses in B.E. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), since 1994 with current intake of 120, M.E. (Power Electronics and Drives) and M.E (Power System Engineering), since 2004 and 2010 with 18 intake respectively. The salient features of the Department are:
Excellent laboratorieswith latest equipment. Qualified andwell experienced faculties. B.E.(EEE) and M.E.(PED) courses are accredited byNBA(AICTE). A separate computer lab with latest software like MATLAB, AUTOCAD, Mi POWER, ORCAD, PSIM,LABVIEW,AUPOWERetc., Research project sponsored byAICTE. AnnaUniversity ranks (UGand PG) in the year 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2009-10. AICTE, CSIR and MNRE funded FDPs,
Seminars and conferences.

* The Paper must be written in English limited to a maximumof 6 pages including references and must conformto IEEEcolumn (6 x 9 inch) paper format.
* Only soft copy (.doc) of the paper should be submittedine-formto
* At least one of the authors should register for the conference and paper(s) received without registration fee will not be included in the conference proceedings.
* The first page of the paper should contain only the title of the paper, author name(s), affiliation,
address, e-mail and a brief abstract stating the objectives of the proposed paper not more than 300
words.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation will be arranged on request in Erode/ Tiruchengode at a rate of Rs.400/- to 600/- per day to be paid by the par t icipants. However, l imi ted accommodation is available at student's hostel in the
college premises.
