International Congress of Environmental Research At Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat

CALL FOR PAPERS

Contributory full length Research papers, Poster papers, Review papers and Abstracts on all topics of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Technology, Social Sciences, Law and Management related with the Environment will be read, presented and discussed.

Therefore Abstracts of original research work should be sent to the organising committee on or before 16th June 2011. Abstract(s) should not be more than 1 page (A4) containing title, name of author(s), name of the institution, keywords typed in double space on A4 size (210 mm x 297 mm) in MS Word. On the abstract form, the author should indicate their preference for oral or poster presentation. However the scientific committee reserves the right to select it as a poster or oral presentation as considered to be best suited. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Special Conference edition ICER-11.

Sub-headings of Research Paper

Full length papers (not more than 14 typed pages in A4 size) must be divided into following sub-headings :

Title, Author(s) Name with official Address, Abstract, Key Words, Introduction/ Hypothesis, Objectives, Material and Methods / Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and/Recommendations, Acknowledgement (if any) and references. Furthermore, references should be numbered sequentially as 1, 2, 3, etc. in order of their citation in the text. The format of references must be as under:

Surname and initials followed by title, name of journal in abbreviated form in italics, volume number in bold with issue number in bracket, page number and year of publication in bold and in bracket, e.g.:
(1) OK- Hyun Park and Jorge Herkovits, Environmental degradation due to accumulation of particulates, J. Environ. Res. Develop., 1 (4), 111-118, (2008)

Publication of Papers

Full length papers/Review papers (obtained for Oral or Poster presentation), selected by the screening committee will be published in the Journal of Environmental Research And Development.

At least one author for each paper should get registered for congress.

Even if you do not wish to present the paper, you can attend the congress.

Mode of Submission of Abstracts and Research Papers

(1) All sort of Research Articles (Papers or Abstracts) must be submitted electronically via Email in the format mentioned above. No research article will be entertained through surface mail or air mail in hard copy or soft copy (CD).
(2) It is mandatory to mention E-mail on your research article, as all correspondence will be performed through it only.

USEFUL INFORMATIONS

(1) No refund of registration/accommodation fee will be made
(2) All participants are requested to include two coloured recent passport size photographs with their registration material.
(3) The registration fee does not include insurance coverage for either Indian or International participants against personal accidents, sickness, theft or property damage.
(4) All foreign visitors are required to hold a valid passport and visa. Please check visa regulations between your country and the Republic of India before making travel arrangements.
(5) The official currency in India is Rupees i.e., INRs. (Current exchange value 1 USD = INRs. 46.02 approx.) Exchange rates fluctuate regularly and it is advisable to check with official sources. Foreign currency can be carried without any restrictions. Currency can be exchanged at our official bank (State Bank of India) and at almost all reputed hotel counters.
(6) Surat is the biggest diamond hub and a grand textile market of India. Therefore to root out the accommodation and travel problems, it is advisable to get registered with the Congress well before the last date. Also finalize your plan for accommodation, travel and visit to tourist places of Surat and the nearby at the earliest.
(7) Organising committee reserves right to reframe, reschedule or condense one or the whole programme with immediate effect and it tends no claim thereafter.
(8) Please visit the website regularly for current up-dates.
(9) All Fellow members of the journal (FICERs) are fully exempted from paying Registration fee for attending the Congress for all the time. But they will have to bear travel and hotel expenses.

Research scholars/students are defined as those :

(3) Who are one of the authors of a Research Paper.

Hence research scholars / students will need to provide proof of support of their status along with their registration form. Also they may have to prove it by originals, if requires.

Exemption from Registration Fee

Registration fee is completely waived off for the Fellow members of Journal of Environmental Research And Development, who have got the title F.I.C.E.R.
