BIO-GAS AS ALTERNATE FUEL FOR AUTOMOBILE

BIO-GAS AS ALTERNATE FUEL FOR AUTOMOBILE

INTRODUCTION

Petrol, Diesel, CNG, LPG are conventional fuels used in automobile. India’s major import includes petrol and CNG & day by day the cost is increasing, also the pollution is on rise. To overcome these problem we should look at the other renewable energy sources.

Bio-gas is one of the non-conventional energy sources which has possibility that can be used for automobile and power generation.

The other non-conventional energy sources like wind, tidal, solar energy are having some dis-advantages for power generation. The atmospheric condition affects these energy sources, also these energy forms can not be control by human.

On the other hand, bio-gas production can controlled by controlling operating conditions of bio-gas plant. Also bio-gas or gobar gas can be stored safely as compared with conventional energy sources.

The conventional fuels are costly but bio-gas is nearly free of cost, as required raw material is waste material.
