About the Conference

Innovation, the successful exploitation of new ideas, is widely recognized as a major driver of economic growth; the same goes for globalization. The conference will seek to address the many challenges and new directions presented by technological innovations in educational settings. ICICIC - 2012 will bring together an international community of scholars and practitioners in a forum setting. It will provide a platform for young minds to discuss, debate and solve the most challenging problems being faced by the industry today and showcase their talents on a global level.

Call for Papers

The technical sessions of the conference will consist of key-note addresses and original contributory Papers reporting theoretical and experimental research, development, design, testing and measurement works. The topics of interest include but not limited to

Submission and Logistics

A submission should report on original, previously unpublished research that is not being concurrently considered elsewhere for publication in a journal or conference. A submission consists of up to ten single-spaced pages using at least 11-point Times Roman font and one-inch margins on all sides on A4 . The page limit includes title page, references, figures, and tables. Extra material, such as additional experiments,
proofs, and graphs, can be included in a clearly-marked appendix, which will be read at the discretion of the program committee. Submissions may be accepted either as regular papers or short papers. Authors may request that their submission be considered only as a regular paper. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper. Extended versions of selected papers from ICICIC - 2012 will be considered for publication in the Technology Journal, PSGCT and IJCSS (International Journal of Computer Science and Systems) in Czech Republic.

Conference Proceedings

The papers recommended by the review committee and registered on or before October 31, 2011, will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be available during the conference. Authors are requested to register for each accepted paper separately.

About the College

PSG COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY established in the year 1951 by the PSG & SONS' Charities Trust was the first private engineering college in Tamil Nadu. It is an AICTE approved autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore and is ISO 9001:2000 certified. The founders wisely decided to locate the
college in the same campus as the PSG Industrial Institute for effective industry-institute interaction. The College has been in the vanguard of innovation in technical education, and over the years has taken giant strides and transformed itself into a prestigious centre for advanced studies in several faculties of Engineering and Technology, Applied Sciences, Management Studies, Computer Science and Applications. About the Department

The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 1999 with a view to develop quality engineers to meet the current trends in the emerging world of IT. The goal of the department is to educate students to get technical expertise and knowledge in the field of Information Technology so that it enables them to communicate and use that knowledge constructively for the benefit of others. A wide range of research activities undertaken in the department allow the students to gain contemporary knowledge about real-life problems in the industry. The well thought out curriculum requires the students to take up a broad spectrum of courses, while simultaneously allowing emphasis on desired areas of specialization. Hence the Department of Information Technology endeavors to provide hands-on education to all of its students. The department interacts persistently with esteemed academic institutions, reputed industries and R&D organizations.

About Coimbatore

Coimbatore is the third largest city of Tamil Nadu, located on the banks of river Noyyal. One of the fastest growing industrial centers in India, it is the administrative headquarters of the Coimbatore District and a major textile and engineering hub of South India. It is referred to as "the Manchester of South India" due to the presence of a flourishing textile industry. A wide range of hotel accommodation is available in Coimbatore city, close to the venue of the conference. Limited accommodation is also available at the guest house of the college on a chargeable basis.
